Inspection and maintenance as required
Clean combi-steer axle and grease
When used indoors in clean dry conditions, it
is generally sufficient to perform maintenance
every 1000 operating hours. If used both in-
doors and outdoors, cleaning / greasing is
recommended between 500 and 1000 operat-
ing hours, however not later than 12 months.
Clean combi-steer axle
¾ Fully lower fork carriage.
¾ Press emergency cut-off knob.
¾ Clean combi-steer axle with water or
cleaner solvent.
NOTE
After cleaning with a steam jet gr
easing is
always recommended.
ENVIRONMENT NOTE
Take note of information about working mate-
rials.
Grease combi-steer axle
NOTE
Lubricating grease should be used for greas-
ing (see under "Recommendations for working
materials") .
¾ Apply grease to lubricating nipples (see
arrows) on tie rods on left and right .
¾ Grease with grease gun until fresh grease
escapes at bearings.
NOTE
It is better to apply a little grease to the bear-
ings frequently than a lot of grease infrequently
.
