Sequence of Operation
SELF CONTAINED AIR OR WATER COOLED
Single & Quad Evaporator Models
NOTE: The power button must be depressed and the
water curtain/ice dampers must be in place on the
evaporator before the ice machine will start.
Initial Start-Up or Start-Up After
Automatic Shut-Off
1. Water Purge
Before the refrigerant compressor starts, the water
pump and water dump solenoid energize to purge the
ice machine of old water. This feature ensures that the
ice making cycle starts with fresh water.
2. Refrigeration System Equalization and
Start-Up
The harvest valve(s) and air pump(s) energize to
equalize high and low side refrigeration pressure.
After 5 seconds the contactor energizes the
compressor and supplies power to the condenser fan
motor. After 5 seconds the harvest valve(s) and air
pump(s) de-energize.
NOTE: The fan motor is wired through a fan cycle
pressure control and will cycle on and off when the
room temperatures is below 70°F (21°C).
