4.8 SIDE TRANSMISSION
Transmission of the motive power to the rotor is carried out
by belt with adjustable pulley.
Periodically, and in case of malfunction or slipping, check
the tension of the transmission belts as follows:
- Remove the bolts that x the protective casing (A g.20).
Open the casing by pulling it outwards.
- Loosen the bolts that x the overdrive to the structure (B Fig.
g.21-g.22 TERMINATOR HYDRAULIC.
- Loosen the belts and replace them or work on the two ad-
juster screws (C g.21-g.22) in order to correctly tighten
the belts.
- 1 cm tolerated elongation with a 5 kg force applied (g.23).
- Check the pulley alignment (g.23) once the belts have
been tightened.
- Tighten all slackened bolts.
- Remount the casing and x it in place with the previously
removed bolts (g.20).
4.9 REPLACING THE
BELTS
Comply with all the instructions given in section «SIDE
TRANSMISSION» when replacing the belts.
Worn belts become stretched. To correctly distribute the
forces, they must therefore always be replaced together.
ATTENTION
When regulating the belt tension, pay particular atten-
tion to the level state of the pulleys.
Press on the middle part of the belt between the two pul-
leys with a 5 Kg force.
Each belt should give 1 cm (g.23).
In this respect we recommend placing an adequately
long metallic ruler on the edges of the two pulleys (see
broken line g.23).
The ruler should touch all four borders of the pulleys.
4.10 SHIFTING
The machine is equipped with hydraulic side shifting of the
three-point hitch support.
Shifting is utilized in case work is done near ditches or near
crops which require lateral shifting of the machine.
4.10.1 HYDRAULIC SHIFTING
On the hydraulic shifting, the position of the bracket (2 g.24)
connecting the third point hitch is the same as the mechanical
shifting one.
The hydraulic cylinder bracket is xed in the same way
of the retainer bar one, but on the right rib instead of the
left one.
Once the machine is hooked to the tractor, connect the supplied
hydraulic pipes to the suitable attachments on the hydraulic
circuit of tractor. By operating the special levers located in the
driverís position, lateral shifting can be carried out.
