4.11 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
ATTENTION
All maintenance work, adjustments and preparation for
operation, must be carried out with the power take-o of
the tractor disconnected, the machine on the ground on
its supporting feet, the tractor not running, the wheels
blocked and the key turned o.
4.11.1 SIDE SKIDS
Adjust the position of the side skids (1-2-3 g.25) and roller
until the knives project from the surface formed by the two
skids themselves
This will prevent the knives from digging into the soil even
on irregular ground.
4.12 IN WORK
Instructions for use in the eld
This section contains instructions about how to use the
machine for work in complete safety.
- Before actually using the machine, make sure that it oper-
ates correctly by allowing the rotor to idle for a few minutes.
- Always make sure that there are no bystanders within the
operating range of the machine whilst it is running.
- Disengage the PTO before lifting the machine. Do not
operate it when the machine is raised before getting o
the tractor.
- Comply with the safety distances when working near built-
up areas or roads (g.26): 5 meters each side, 10 meters
at the rear.
