5.1 MAINTENANCE PLAN - Summary table
INTERVAL TYPE OF WORK
WHEN THE MACHINE lS NEW
- Grease all parts indicated by transfer nr. 17 (‘GRASE’) at page 45 of this leaet.
- Lubricate all the transmission chains with mineral oil (SAE 80W/90).
- After the rst hours of work check that all the bolts are still tight.
EVERY 8 WORKING HOURS
- Grease the cardan shaft cross journals.
- Grease the bearings of the rotor.
- Check the tightness of the fastening bolts of the blades.
- Open the rear hood and check to make sure that the rotor housing is clean and
free from plant residues.
EVERY 50 WORKING HOURS
- Check the oil level in the overdrive box and the transmission shaft, lling it up, if
necessary, to the notch on the indicator (g.34).
EVERY 400 WORKING HOURS
- Carry out a complete oil change of the overdrive, discharging all the oil from the
discharge cap located below the overdrive box (g.34).
REST PERIODS
At the end of the season, or if a long period of rest is foreseen it is advisable to:
1) Wash the equipment thoroughly with water, especially the chemical substance
hoppers, then dry them. Clean the electrical components only with a dry cloth.
2) Carefully check for worn or damaged parts and replace then where required.
3) Check the state of wear of the transmission chains and toothed wheels. Replace
damaged or worn out parts, if required. Use solvent to clean the transmission
chains, the toothed wheels and the chain stretchers. Lubricate with mineral oil
(SAE 80W/90) when dry.
4) Adjust the belt of the diffusion air pump and and replace it if necessary.
5) Firmly tighten all screws and bolts.
6) Apply protecting oil to all unpainted parts.
7) Protect the equipment with a (nylon) cover.
8) Then position it stably in a dry place out of the reach of unauthorized people
It is in the interests of the user to follow these instructions carefully, as when work recommences, he will nd the
equipment in perfect condition.

LUBRICANTS
- It is advisable to use AGIP ROTRA MP SAE 85W/140
OIL or equivalent for the overdrive unit. Correspond to
following specications API - GL5 / MIL-L-2105C.
- It is advisable to use AGIP GR MU EP 2 GREASE or
equivalent for all greasing points.
