Do not letthe fuelcome into contact with the skin.
Wear gloves and protective goggles during
maintenanceoperations.
Inthe eventof contact with fuel,immediately and
thoroughlywash theaffected partwith soapand water.
When the operationhas been completed, thoroughly
clean off all traces of fuel andtake the
clothsused to special waste collection centres.
6.6 REPLACING THE LINE FUEL FILTER
Follow the instructions given inthe manual of the
type of fuel filter installed (ref.1). See Chap. 3.6.1 “Fuel
filter”.
6.7 BLEEDING THE FUEL SYSTEM
Thegeneratorisequippedwith an automaticfuel bleed
valve. Should manual bleeding be necessary, press
the ON button on the control panel and wait
30 seconds before starting the generator.
If there are air bubbles inthe fuel system, the engine will
not function regularly or will be unable to reach the rated
rpm. Air may penetrate the fuel circuit through a not
perfectly sealed joint (pipe, filters, tank) or when the fuel
in the tank is at minimum level.
6.8 AIR FILTER
Generators are fitted with a dry air filter (ref.2), which
prevents foreign bodies from entering
the combustion chamber. It is sufficient to clean the filter
mass with diesel fuel once a year to remove any
impurities.
Take theliquids used to wash the filter
tospecial waste collection centres for disposal.
