8 GUARANTEE AND RESPONSIBILITY

8.1 GUARANTEE

• Generators andalltheircomponents areguaranteedfreeofdefects andarecoveredbytheguarantee fora period

as required by current legislation fromthe date of installation.

• Not covered by the guarantee are: failed observance of the installation regulations, damage caused by natural

disasters, accidents, defects of the electrical system including the load to which the generator is connected,

negligence, improper use or abuse by the operator and damage caused by repairs carried out by unqualified

personnel.

• Repairsthatcannotbe carriedoutattheplaceofinstallationcanbe carriedoutatcustomerlaboratoriesor authorised

workshops. Transport expenses will be borne by the Customer.

• Under no circumstances does the Customer have the right to claimcompensation for damages or side effects

caused by use of the machine in a manner not conformto what is described in this manual.

8.2 LIMITS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Customer is responsible for anything regarding the safety, reliability and performance of the Generator on the

conditionthat:

• The generator is used by persons trained through the use and maintenance manual.

• The installationis carried out accordingto attachedinstructions.

• The service procedures are carried out exclusively by specialisedtechnicalpersonnel.

• The electrical systemand the loads to which the generator is connectedis in conformity withthe applicable CEI

regulations.

• The Generator is installed and used in accordance with the installations provided in this manual.

• Use original spare parts specific to each model.

• Use suitable fuel.

• Diesel fuel conforming to standards ASTM A975.

9 DISPOSAL

9.1 DISPOSAL OF THE WASTE MATERIALS DERIVING FROM MAINTENANCE AND SCRAPPING

•The packaging usedfor transportis biodegradable andthus easy todispose of bycompaniesauthorised for paper

collection.

• The electrical components must be taken to companies authorised for the collection of electronic material.

• All the painted metal parts must be taken to companies authorised for the collection of metals.

Please note that thesystem and its components contain materials that, ifdispersed in the environment,

maycausesignificantecological damage.

The following materials mustbe delivered to specific collection centresauthorised for their disposal:

- Starting battery

- Exhaust lubrication oils;

- Mixtures of water and anti-freeze;

- Filters;

-Auxiliary cleaningmaterial (e.g.:rags smearedor soaked withfuel and/orchemical cleaningproducts).

• Any other material not listed above must be taken to companies authorised for the collection of industrial waste.
