STEP 2: INSTALL SHREDDER HOPPER

Position and attach the shredder hopper to the unit.

Attach the discharge deflector to the shredder housing.

STEP 5: ASSEMBLY OF COLLECTOR BAG

Attach the collector bag to the discharge opening.

Feeding Material into Hopper

MAINTENANCE

SPARK PLUG

Clean and reset spark plug gap, recommended replacement.

CLEAN ENGINE

Remove dirt and debris, clean blower housing periodically.

MUFFLER

Do not operate without muffler, inspect and replace if necessary.

CLEANING

Clean the unit with water, wash the bag.

CHIPPER/SHREDDER LUBRICATION

Lubricate wheel hubs, hopper assembly rotating plate, and caster wheel.

ENGINE LUBRICATION

Refer to separate engine manual for engine oil maintenance.

AIR CLEANER

Service air cleaner every 25 hours or season, clean more often if dusty.

FUEL FILTER (IF SO EQUIPPED)

Replace fuel filter once each season or if clogged.

STORAGE

NEVER STORE YOUR CHIPPER-SHREDDER INDOORS OR IN AN ENCLOSED, POORLY VENTILATED AREA

Avoid indoor/enclosed storage if gasoline remains in the tank due to fire risk.

PREPARE FOR STORAGE

Run engine until empty, use stabilizer, clean unit, inspect parts, store in dry area.

SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENT

SHARPENING OR REPLACING CHIPPER BLADES

Sharpen or replace dull chipper blades; do not use a hand file.

TO REMOVE AND INSTALL THE CHIPPER BLADE

Steps to disconnect spark plug, remove chute, and then the chipper blade.

REVERSING, SHARPENING, OR REPLACING SHREDDER BLADE

Shredder blade is reversible; sharpen or replace when dull.

TO REMOVE AND INSTALL SHREDDING BLADE

Steps to remove and install the shredding blade.

Balance the shredding blade

Test and balance the shredding blade for proper operation.

FLAILS

Flails are permanently attached; contact dealer for replacement if damaged.
