Pressing [Start/ENT] twice (i.e. entering zero for both parameters) will create a
calculation which returns the maximum load for all the test data.
Entering a displacement value (in the units indicated) at the ‘Disp1’ prompt
(illustrated), pressing [Start/ENT], entering another displacement value, which must
occur at a later time, at the ‘Disp2’ prompt and pressing [Start/ENT] again, will create
a calculation which returns the maximum load observed between the first
displacement value (Disp1) and the second displacement value (Disp2). In addition to
this ‘peak’ command, the MultiTest-x software provides 18 further calculations which
can be specified in a similar manner.
Pressing [Jog Up] or [Jog Dn] key will scroll through the list of all the calculations
available:
Peak load (Disp1, Disp2)
Minimum load (Disp1, Disp2)
Average load (Disp1, Disp2)
Average load (Time1, Time2)
Sample break (% drop from peak)

load set-point (Disp, Occurrence)
An ‘occurrence parameter is included in all load and displacement set-point
commands. In the case of a load set-point, this is the number of times that
the displacement value specified has been detected during the test.
Consider a test starting at zero displacement, going to 10mm then returning
to zero displacement. During this test a 50mm displacement occurs twice,
once as displacement increases, and once as displacement decreases. The
force value for each 5mm occurrence will not be the same. A calculation
returning the force value corresponding to the second occasion that the
displacement passes through 5mm, requires the occurrence parameter to be
set to ‘2’. (Note: in cyclic testing, even if data from some cycles are being
ignored, see [1], [3], [3], [1], (j), every cycle logged counts toward the
cumulative occurrence total.)
