The connector on the end of
the power cable is not
plugged into the socket on
the rear of the device prop-
erly.
The power cable is faulty.
The fuses are unservice-
able.
Check that the power cable
is firmly connected.
Check that the power outlet
is working properly.
Replace the power cable.
Replace the fuses (see point
“Replacement of fuses”).
The device is switched on
but will not work. No errors
are shown on the display.
The connector of the
footswitch is not properly
plugged into the socket.
The footswitch will not work.
Insert the footswitch connec-
tor properly.
Contact the nearest author-
ised MECTRON Service
Centre.
A faint whistle can be heard
coming from the
Piezosurgery handpiece
during operation.
The insert is not correctly
tightened onto the scaler
handpiece.
Unscrew the insert and
screw it back into place cor-
rectly.
The device is switched on
but does not work. The mes-
sage ERR appears on the
display.
The insert is not fitted cor-
rectly into the handpiece.
The insert is worn, broken or
deformed.
The connector of the cord is
wet.
Unscrew the insert and
screw it back into place cor-
rectly.
Replace the insert.
Dry the connectors.
12.0 - TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not seem to be working properly, read the instructions again and then
check the following table.

The device does not turn on
