2. Cleaning
2.1 Prepare cold water (<40 °C) containing a detergent with
a pH range between 6.0 and 8.0 only, in order to avoid
damaging the components. Enzymatic detergents help
remove organic substances, such as blood. Detergents
should be used according to their manufacturer`s rec-
ommended concentration levels. Some alkaline deter-
gents have been formulated to be safe for reprocessing
medical devices. The manufacturers of these detergents
should provide information about specific materials that
may be damaged by their detergents.
2.2 Remove visible dirt with a damp cleaning tool – general
purpose cleaning brushes, such as pipe cleaners or
non-abrasive lint cloths with the detergent mentioned
above. Do not place or drop the components in the
detergent mentioned above.
2.3 Use clean cloth to wipe the components.

3. Disinfect
Disinfect with the disinfecting agent group «alcohol».
Do not use other cleaning agents (e.g. Terralin) as
they could damage the material. Do not place or
drop the components in the disinfecting fluid.

4. Storing components
After disinfection, store the components on a dry
and clean cloth.
