5. To replace the spring, use a needle‑nose pliers and grasp the
edge of the spring and screw it into the cannister inlet opening
in a counter‑clockwise direction. The spring must be centered
in the cannister to engage the pocket on the inlet side of the
fuel filter.
6. Slide the filter onto the filter outlet and assemble the filter
assembly as shown, tighten the outlet to the cannister first and
attach the hose to the outlet last.
7. Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks. Tighten or
replace components as necessary.
