An identification plate is secured to each ZF marine transmission. The gear ratio, serial number, and model number of the
transmission are printed on the identification plate.
NOTE: The system oil volumes specified are for the complete Mercury Diesel assembly; the transmission, transmission oil
cooler, and transmission oil lines. Always use the dipstick to assure proper oil level when replenishing or filling oil.
