5. Use a 9/16 in. wrench to remove the drain plug from the bottom of the fuel filter assembly, and allow the fuel to drain.
6. Apply Loctite 567 PST Pipe Sealant to the threads of the drain plug.

7. Install the drain plug finger‑tight, then rotate two to three turns.
a - WIF sensor 3‑pin connector
b - Fire sleeve
c - Drain plug
8. Remove the used fuel filter as follows:
a. Turn the fuel filter assembly counterclockwise to remove it from the mounting head. Verify the gasket is not adhered
to the mounting head.
b. Remove the metal bowl assembly from the bottom of the fuel filter by turning counterclockwise. Retain the metal bowl
assembly and fire sleeve for installation on the new filter.
c. Discard the used filter, gasket, and O‑ring in accordance with all local, federal, and international regulations.

d - Fire sleeve
9. Assemble the new fuel filter as follows:
a. Ensure the new filter has a 10 micron filtration rating.
b. Lubricate the new bowl O‑ring with oil.
