7 Maintenance
Unauthorized persons are not allowed to open the TeraOhm XA 5kV instrument. There
are no user replaceable components inside the instrument, except the battery.
7.1 Batteries insertion and replacement
Battery is stored in the battery compartment of the instrument casing under the battery
cover (see Figure 7.1). In case of defective battery please note the following:
Step 1
Turn off the power, disconnect any measurement accessories and mains supply
cable connected to the instrument before opening the battery cover to avoid
electric shock.
Step 2
Remove the battery cover (see Figure 7.1) !
