Ifyourkeyislost/stolenorbroken,areplacementcanbe
obtainedfromanMGAuthorisedRepairer.Thelost/stolen
keycanbedeactivated.Ifthelostkeyisfound,anMG
AuthorisedRepairercanreactivateit.
Note:AnykeymadeindependentlyoutsideofMG
AuthorisedRepairerNetworkmaynotstartthe
engine,andmayaffectthesafetyofyourcar.T o
obtainasuitablekeyreplacement,itisrecommended
thatyoucanconsultanMGAuthorisedRepairer.
Note:Thenewkeycannotbeofferedtoyou
immediatelybecauseitrequiresprogrammingtothe
vehiclebytheMGAuthorisedRepairer.
ReplacingtheBattery
Whenthelocking/unlockingfunctionrangeofthe
remotekeyisreduced,ortheignitionswitchisin
positionON/RUN,theengineimmobiliserwarninglampin
theinstrumentpackashesaccompaniedwithanaudible
warning(Referto"WarningLightsandIndicators"in
"InstrumentsandControls"chapter),replacetheremote
keybattery.

2Carefullypriseoffthekeycover(A)fromthetwo
squareholeinthekeyslotwithasmallat-bladed
screwdriver.
3Removethewaterproofpad.
4Pressthebatteryandslidetowardtheexiblepiece,
insertthesmallat-bladedscrewdriverintothegapto
