Cruisecontrolenablesthedrivertomaintainaconstant
roadspeedwithoutusingtheacceleratorpedal.This
isparticularlyusefulformotorwaycruising,orforany
journeywhereaconstantspeedcanbemaintainedfora
lengthyperiod.
Thefollowingprecautionsmustbeobservedwhenusing
cruisecontrol:
•DONOTattempttousecruisecontrolwhenusing
reversegear.
•DONOTusecruisecontrolonwindingorslipperyroad
surfaces,intherain,orintrafcconditionswherea
constantspeedcannoteasilybemaintained.
•ALWA YSswitchoffthemainswitchwhenyounolonger
intendtousecruisecontrol.
Duringtheoperationofcruisecontrolsystem,theactual
speedmaydeviatefromthetargetcruisespeedtosome
extentduetoroadconditions(suchasuphill,downhill,
etc).
•Iftheactualspeedisexcessivelylowerthanthetarget
speedorSCSisactivatedduetothehillorroad
