StabilityControlSystem(SCS)
SCSisdesignedtoassistthedriverincontrolofdriving
direction.TheSCSautomaticallyentersStandbymode
aftertheengineisstarted.
WhenSCSdetectsthatthevehicleisnotmovinginthe
intendeddirection,itwillintervenebyapplyingbrakeforce
toselectedwheelsorthroughtheenginemanagement
systemtopreventslidingandassistinbringingthecarback
totherightdirection.
T ractionControlSystem(TCS)
TCSisdesignedtoaidtraction,therebyhelpingthedriver
tomaintaincontrolofthecarinsituationswhereone
orbothofthedrivingwheelsarespinning(forexample,
ifonewheelisoniceandtheotherontarmac).TCS
monitorsthedrivingspeedofeachwheelindividually.If
spinisdetectedononewheel,thesystemautomatically
brakesthatwheel,transferringtorquetotheopposite,
non-spinningwheel.Ifbothwheelsarespinning,the
systemwillreduceenginespeedinordertoregulatewheel
rotationuntiltractionisregained.
SwitchingOn/Off
SCSandTCSareautomaticallyswitchedtostandbymode
whentheignitionswitchisplacedintheON/RUNposition.
Y oucanswitchthemoffaftertheengineisstarted.
