Althoughtheengineisnotrunningafteran
automaticstop,thesystemispreparedto
autostartthereforethefollowingactions
couldbedangerous:
1Leavingthevehiclewhiletheseatbeltis
stillbuckled,orthereisasubstituteseat
beltbuckleinserted.
2Carryingoutworkorchecksintheengine
compartment.
3Refuellingthevehicle,theignitionmust
beswitched“OFF”orthekeyremoved
fromtheswitch.

•Vehicleisstationary,i.e.speed=0mphorkm/h.
•Thevehiclespeedpriortostoppingexceeded6mph

•Thedriver’sdoorisclosedandseatbeltissecured.
•Thebonnetisclosed.
Stop/StartProhibited
StopStartwillnotoperateif:
•Coolanttemperatureisbelowapresetlimit.
•Frontdefrostison.
•Batterypowerisbelowapresetlimit.
•Thevacuuminthebrakingsystemisbelowapreset
limit.
•Startermotortemperatureisaboveapresetlimit.
•Reversegearselectedorhasbeenselectedpriorto
parking.
•Heatingorcoolingdemandistoogreat.
•Highaltitudeareas.
AutomaticEngineStart
Withtheenginestoppedintheautomaticstop/start
condition,thefollowingdriveractionswillcausean
automaticrestart,atthistimetheinstrumentpack
indicatorlampisoff.
