CruiseControlSystemOperation
Thecruisecontrolsystemconsistsoffourswitches:
themainswitch,resumeswitchandtwospeed
increase/decreasesetswitches.Allswitchesaremounted
attherightsideofthesteeringwheel.
1Whenthecurrentvehiclespeedisabove25mph(40
km/h),pressthemainswitch(2inthegure),the
indicatorlampintheinstrumentpackilluminatesgreen
andthecruisesystemisactivated.
2Whenthedesiredspeedisreached,presseitherof
theSet+orSet-switchestosetthememoryspeed
ofthecruisesystem,andthecruisesystemwilltake
effectandtheindicatorlampintheinstrumentpack
willturnyellow.Atthistime,thecruisecontrolsystem
willmaintainthesetspeedwithoutdepressingthe
acceleratorpedal.Cruisecontrolwillonlyoperate
betweenvehiclespeedsof25-125mph(40-200
km/h).
Note:Thesetspeedheldinthecruisecontrolmemory
willbecancelledwheneitherthecruisecontrolmain
switchispressedortheignitionkeyremoved.
Cruisecontrolwillbedisengagedifeitherthebrakeor
clutchpedalispressed.T oreturntoyourpreviousset
speed,presstheRESswitch(4inthegure).
Note:Thecruisecontrolsystemwillonlyoperate
wheninthe3rdgearorabove.
ChangetheSetSpeed
Shortpress(lessthan0.5seconds)theSET+/SET
-switchtoincrease/decreasethevehiclesetspeed
inincrementsof1mph/1km/h,thenthevehiclewill
accelerate/deceleratetothenewsetspeed.Pressingand
holdingtheSET+/SET-switchwillaccelerate/decelerate
thevehicleuntiltheswitchisreleased.Theselectedspeed
issetaccordingly.
