systemislinkedtothebrakesystemmalfunctionindicator
lampontheinstrumentpack.Referto"WarningLamps
andIndicators"in"InstrumentsandControls"section.
Iftheindicatorlampilluminateswhiledriving,orremains
illuminatedaftertheignitionswitchisturnedon(ON
position)andtheparkingbrakeisreleased,itindicates
thereisafailurewiththebrakingsystem,andEBDmaybe
inoperative.Insuchacase,stopthecarassoonassafety
permitsandseekanMGAuthorisedRepairerimmediately.
Donotdrivethecarwiththebrakingsystemmalfunction
indicatorlampilluminated.

WithEBAequippedinthevehicle,whendepressingthe
brakepedalforemergencybrake,EBAsystemwillassist
thedrivertoincreasethebrakeforceappliedoneach
wheel,soastoallowthebrakeforcetoreachtheworking
pointofABS,therebyshorteningthebrakedistance.

Itisimpossibleforhillholdcontrolsystemto
holdthecarduringuphillinanycases(such
asonslipperyorsnowyroad,orhighland),
anditcannotreplacethedriver'sattention
tothedrivingeither.
DONOTabusethehillholdcontrolsystem
asparkingbrake,ortheaccidentmayoccur!
Thesystemisonlyapplicabletothehillhold
controlduringdriving.
Withthehillholdcontrolsysteminservice,it
isstrictlyprohibitedforthedrivertoleavethe
vehicle,otherwisethesevereaccidentmay
cause.
Inordertopreventthevehiclefromslipping
byaccidentwhenstartingonstop-and-go
uphillconditions,pleasefullydepressthe
brakepedalforafewsecondsbefore
start-off.
