24. With one belt end fully placed along bottom guide
of hopper, top of conveyor belt can be placed into
position on chain wear strip with the help of crane/
suitable lifting device.
25. Ensure all tools are removed and no debris or
obstruction remains under new conveyor belt.
26. The ends of conveyor belt must be brought together
at drive roller on discharge end.
27. With master link of chain open and chain ends
separate, insert orange ller tubes (Y), which are
provided with new conveyor belt splice kit. These
tubes prevent debris from gaining access to hinge
pin and stop it from wearing prematurely.
28. Bring two ends together and insert new conveyor
hinge pin (Z) through overlapping ends. Make sure
that conveyor hinge pin is centered between both
chains
29. Insert master link (P) on one chain end and Insert
cotter pin (AA) in master link hole. Bend both ends
of cotter pin to avoid master link removal on its own.
