All electrical work concerning
the electrical connection must be
performed by a suitably qualified
electrician in accordance with local
and national safety regulations.
Electrical installation must be in
compliance with local and national
safety regulations.
The plug connection must comply
with national regulations, the
receptacle must be accessible after
the machine has been installed. This
is to facilitate access for safety
checks, for example when the
appliance is being commissioned or
serviced.
If the appliance is hard wired, a
multiple-pole circuit breaker must be
used. The contact opening at the
main switch must be at least 3 mm
wide, and lockable in the zero
setting.
For increased safety, it is
recommended that the machine be
connected upstream to a ground
fault circuit interrupter with a trip
current of 30 mA.
To replace the power cord, use only
original Miele replacement parts or a
suitable cord with core cable ends.
The rotational direction of motorized
power units depends on the
electrical connection of the
appliance. Connect the appliance in
phase with clockwise rotating field.
Equalize the potentials.
For technical data, see the data plate
or attached wiring diagram.
The machine must only be operated
with the voltage, frequency, and fusing
shown on the data plate.
The data plate is located on the rear of
the machine, and on the base plate
(behind the service flap).
The wiring diagram is secured to the
machine.
Also refer to the installation diagram
included with the machine!
Potential equalization
A connection screw (
8) is included on
the back of the machine for
establishing potential equalization.
