Connecting the water drain
The drainage system is fitted with a
non-return valve which prevents
wastewater from flowing back into
the machine through the drain hose.
It is best to connect the
washer-disinfector to a separate
drainage system on site.
If separate drainage is not available,
Miele recommends connecting to a
dual-chamber siphon.The on-site
drain connection point must be
located between 0.6 m and 1 m
above the lower edge of the
washer-disinfector.If it is lower than
0.6 m, lay the hose in a curve at a
height of at least 0.6 m.The drainage
system must be able to handle a
minimum drainage flow of 50 l/min.
The drain hose is approx. 1.5 m long
and flexible (internal diameter
22 mm). It must not be shortened.
Use the supplied hose clamps to
secure it into position.
Longer drain hoses (up to 4 m) can
be ordered through Miele.
The drainage system must not
exceed 4 m.
Also refer to the installation diagram
included with the machine.
