The Battery Compartment
To open the battery compartment door, turn its
latch a quarter-turn counterclockwise and
swing the door open.
• Inspect the four battery contacts on the
inside of the door (Figure 14). If any
corrosion is seen, clean it off with a
pencil eraser.
• Inspect the seal on the inside of the
door (Figure 14); it should be whole
and entire. If the seal is cracked or
broken, the unit may no longer be
watertight.
• Inspect the O-ring seal around the door
latch’s post (Figure 14). If the seal is
cracked or broken, the unit may no
longer be watertight.
• For repair, contact your local Mirion
Technologies (Canberra) Service
Center.
• When the inspection is complete, close
and latch the door. See the following
section Latching the Compartment
Door.
