2 In the drivers seat
First, check the range selector lever with the
engine stationary. Then, start the engine and per-
form the following checks and after while allowing
the engine to warm up.
Coolant level
Check that the coolant level is between the
“FULL” and “LOW” marks on the reservoir
tank.

V-belt tension and damage
Check the belt for proper deflection when a
force of 98 N (22 lbs., 10 kgf) is applied to the
point midway between the pulleys.
Check also that the belt is not nicked or other-
wise damaged.

Engine oil level
Check that there is sufficient engine oil using
the oil level gauge or oil level check button.

Leakage of coolant, fuel and oil
Check the underneath of the vehicle for any
sign of leakage.
