1: Zone that the EV drive can be maintained
2: Zone that the engine starts in high possibility
Ready OFF position
Indicates that the vehicle cannot run
(READY OFF).
When the vehicle is ready for running, the
needle of the energy usage indicator moves to
the horizontal position.
EV zone
The EV zone shows the output during EV
drive (driving with the engine stopped).
The EV zone is covered by the numbers 1
and 2 in the illustration.
Zone 1 shows the state that the EV drive can
be maintained, while zone 2 shows the state
that the engine starts in high possibility. As
the motor output increases, the movement
range of the needle of the energy usage indi-
cator increases.
In addition, the needle of the energy usage in-
dicator indicates the horizontal position when
the engine is stopped or when there is no
electric energy generated by the motor output
and the regenerative brake.
