Controller Overview
Description and Features
The Modine Controls System utilizes a Carel pCOOEM+
programmable microprocessor controller. Highly ad-
vanced with a powerful microprocessor and fast process-
ing speed, the controller features a high number of I/O’s
for complex HVAC/R applications.
The main controller board is housed in a plastic case that
ensures a high index of protection and reduces the risk
of electrostatic discharges due to incorrect handling. The
controller offers greater safety due to the optical isolation
of the serial pLAN, protection of the analog inputs in the
event of incorrect connections, and an extended range of
operating temperatures. Given the increasing demand for
integration, pCOOEM+ can interface with BMS systems
via many of the most commonly-used serial communi-
cation standards, using optional boards. Some of the
features of the Carel pCOOEM+ programmable micropro-
cessor controller are listed below.
