Connecting to the Suconet K field bus
왘 Use the KPG 1-PS3 bus cable to connect
additional Suconet K stations (PS 4, EM 4) to the
PS 4-300 compact PLC.

왘 Create a low-impedance connection between the
screen of the Suconet K data cable and the
ground terminal over the largest possible area
(e.g. using a metal cable clamp) (see Figure 3).
Setting the bus
terminating resistors
왘 Activate the bus terminating resistors for the
physically first and last stations on the line. To do
this, set both switches S1 to “ON”. Both switches
must be set to the “OFF” position for all other
stations.

The two S1 switches must both be set to the
same position (“ON” or “OFF”) for the PLC to
function correctly.
