4 Topology Configuration
General
The Sucosoft S 40 graphical topology
configurator can be used to configure your
automation system. Use it to select network
components, position them where you want them
in the network and specify the communication
conditions via dialog boxes. Typical network
components include:
PS 4-... master PLC
Slaves without their own CPU. These are used in
addition to the remote inputs and outputs, such
as EM 4-... expansion modules, LE 4-... local
expansion modules, RMQ... operating panels,
MI 4-... display units, etc.
Slaves with their own CPU, such as slave PLCs.
The theoretical principles for configuring a device
are described below. They are also illustrated
with reference to a specific example.
