Avoiding interference
31
04/99 AWB 2700-1311 GB
In order to keep interference to a minimum ensure
that the cabling inside and outside of the control
cabinet is carried out correctly. Proceed as follows:
Avoid long, parallel cable runs with cables of
different power ratings next to one another.
Separate AC cables from DC cables.
Keep the following minimum clearances:
At least 10 cm (approx. 4 inches) between power
cables and signal cables
At least 30 cm (approx. 12 inches) between power
and data/analog cables.
When laying cables ensure that supply and return
lines of a circuit are kept together. The opposing
direction of current flow makes the sum of all
currents zero, so any fields that are produced are
balanced out.
