Function
There are four options for the discharge chute. They include; a bottom
clean-out, side clean-out, height adjustor, and hydraulic swivel. You can
order one or all options.
1. Side Clean-out: An opening on the side of the discharge that
enables the operator access to the base of the chute for clean-out.
2. Bottom Clean-out: An opening on the front/bottom of the
discharge chute that enables the operator access to the base of the
chute for clean-out.
3. Height Adjuster: Changes the flow angle of the discharge.
4. Hydraulic Swivel: Provides fluid power to the discharge swivel.
Hydraulic fluid is under pressure. Spraying fluid from a
leak can burn or penetrate the skin and cause serious
injury. If fluid penetrates the skin, immediately seek
medical attention to have it surgically removed.
Pressure may be stored in the hydraulic system even after
the power unit is turned off. Slightly open a line to relieve
pressure.
Use
Side Clean-out: Remove the screws and cover. Clear out debris from
chute. Place cover back on window and securely fasten with screws.
Bottom Clean-out: Release the toggle clamp and open the bottom
clean-out cover. Clean out debris from the chute. Close cover and
tighten toggle clamp.
Height Adjuster: To change the discharge angle height, first loosen
and remove the rear bolts and loosen the front bolts. Then, move the
turnbuckle to the left to raise or to the right to lower the discharge
chute.
Hydraulic Swivel: To change the direction the discharge is flowing or
pointing, see decal next to the valve handle for operating instructions.
The swivel is capable of rotating 360º.
Note: Before transporting the chipper center the hydraulic discharge
chute with the width of the machine facing either the front or rear of
the machine.
Maintenance
