2.2 SYMBOLS USED
The following symbols that appear in the manual have been
used to call the operators attention to potential dangers
that may be present or that could occur, and to pertinent
safety indications.
The following symbols used in the manual indicate danger
or instructions that must be obligatorily complied with by
the operator.
1. WARNING Before you use the machine, you
must be familiar with all the devices, controls
and functions. Read this manual carefully.
2. WARNING The adjustments and servicing
operations must only be carried out with the
machine at a standstill and the ignition key
removed from the dashboard and after you have
read the operation and maintenance manual.
3. WARNING DANGER from fluids under
pressure. Read the manual before beginning
work. Consult a physician if you come into
contact with harmful fluids.
4. WARNING Check the direction in which the
tractors PTO and its rate (540 rpm) before
engaging the driveline.
5. WARNING DANGER make sure that the
machine is at a complete standstill before you
move near it.
6. WARNING DANGER of touching the knives.
Keep your feet well away from the machine.
7. WARNING Material and/or objects could be
thrown up. Keep well away from the machine.
Keep at a safety distance of at least 50 m from
the machine.
8. WARNING It is forbidden to climb on to the
machine.
9. DANGER Danger of being
caught up and dragged
along. Keep your hands well
clear of the transmission
shaft whilst it is operating.
10. WARNING Do not get between the tractor
and machine.
11. WARNING Do not remove or open
the protective casings until the belts
have come to a complete stop.
12. DANGER of crushing / cutting the hands.
Keep at a safe distance away from the machine.
13. DANGER of being crushed by the mowing
apparatus. Keep at a safe distance away from
the machine.
14. WARNING Only lift and hitch the machine at
the indicated points.
15. Use the required Personal Protective Equipment.
