User Guide - v11 29
If you cannot find the option you want, this may be because the option is not supported by
your camera model, or there is a conflict with a setting on another page.
Camera Settings
Use these options to choose settings for the camera.
Digital Zoom
When digital zoom is set Off (default) and you zoom IN, the zoom action stops at the end of
optical zoom and the camera does not select digital zoom.
This avoids the reduction of the picture quality which can occur when a camera uses digital
zoom.
When digital zoom is set On and you zoom IN, the zoom action pauses when the end of
optical zoom is reached.
If you continue to try to zoom IN, the camera switches to digital zoom. This enlarges the
picture. The picture quality reduces as more digital zoom is used.
White Balance
White balance can be set to one of the following options:
• Outdoor Auto (default)
• Auto
• Outdoor
• Indoor
• Auto Tracing
• Indoor A
• Indoor B
• Indoor C
• Sodium (for sodium lighting)
• Sodium Auto A (to suit the illumination.)
• Sodium Auto B
Wide Dynamic Range
Wide Dynamic Range improves the picture when extremes of bright and dark features are
present in the picture.
It gives a good picture quality when there is adequate illumination for the dark parts of the
picture but can cause pixelation for some views.
Zoom Speed
You can change the speed at which the camera zooms. This make it easier to control the
camera.
When a camera has increased latency for the telemetry commands, for example, due to the
speed of a transmission link, set the zoom to a slower speed.
Proportional Zoom
You can use this option to set the maximum speed at which the camera pans and tilts. This
causes the camera to slow down zoomed IN.
