Mounting the Solar Panel
The solar panel should be positioned vertically on a pole above the L6Q camera and be 12–14 feet off
the ground, facing South. Use the carrying strap to keep your hands free when carrying the solar panel
up the ladder. Use the Hex Key tool to tighten the Metal Band Straps.
Procedure:
1 Thread a Reusable Zip Tie through the top slot of the Mounting Bracket.
2 Place the Mounting Bracket against the pole and tighten the Reusable Zip Tie to hold it in place.
3 On the top and bottom of the Mounting Bracket, thread the Metal Band Ties (2x) through the
slots with the buckles facing out.
4 Insert the ends of the pole straps into the buckles around the pole.
5 Slide the Mounting Bracket to its final position on the pole (facing south) and tighten the Metal
Band Ties with the Hex Key Tool.
6 Trim any excess material from the Metal Band Ties with the Wire Snips.
7 Remove the Reusable Zip Tie for later use.
8 Hook the Solar Panel frame on to the Mounting Bracket as shown.
9 Secure the Solar Panel Frame to the Mounting Bracket with the Bracket Bolts (2x).
10 Skip to the Camera Installation section to continue the installation process.
