3.6.3EmergencyGroupCall
WhileintheEmergencyMode,youareabletoinitiateandreceiveanEmergencyGroupCall.Thisspecialcallis
initiatedbypressingtheEMERGENCYbutton.
IfaradioreceivesanincomingGroupCallwithemergencypriority,thedisplayshowsthatanEmergencyGroupCall
hasbeenreceived,andaspecialaudioalertisplayed.YourradioautomaticallyswitchestotheEmergencyMode.
TheaudioforanEmergencyGroupCallalwaysgoesthroughthespeaker(highaudio),evenifthelowaudio
isselected.
AnEmergencyGroupCallcanbeconguredas:
•Non-tactical—callonatalkgrouppredenedbyyourserviceprovider.Thegroupmightbedifferentthan
theoneselectedinitially.Afterexitingfromnon-tacticalEmergencyModetheradioisattachedtothegroup
thatwasselectedbeforeinitiatingthenon-tacticalcall.Wheninnon-tacticalEmergencyMode,youare
notabletoswitchtalkgroups.DGNAmessageshavenoimpactduringnon-tacticalEmergencyModebut
onlyafterexitingthenon-tacticalEmergencyMode.
•Tactical—callonthecurrentlyselectedtalkgroup.
InTMO,iftheradioentersEmergencyModewhiletheEmergencyBroadcastCallisactive,theradiocontinues
onthecallwithoutinitiatinganycallsandsendsanEmergencyAlarm.Thebehaviordependsonyourservice
providersettings.
InDMO,EmergencyGroupCallsthroughagatewayaresupported.
3.6.4EmergencyPrivateCall
TheEmergencyPrivateCallsareSimplexorDuplexPrivateCallswithemergencypriority.Onpressingthe
EMERGENCYbutton,theradioinitiatesaPrivateCallwithemergencycallprioritytotheprovisionedaddress.No
EmergencyAlarmissentandyourradiodoesnotentertheEmergencyMode.Thispseudoemergencystate(alluser
indicationandrejectionofotherservices)endsassoonastheEmergencyPrivateCallends.
3.6.5EmergencyMS-ISDNCall
TheEmergencyMS-ISDNcallsaresimplexorduplextelephonecallswithemergencypriority.Onpressingthe
EMERGENCYbutton,yourradioinitiatesanEmergencyMS-ISDNcalltothepredenedMS-ISDNnumber.
TheMS-ISDNcalltype(simplexorduplex)ispredenedbyyourserviceprovider.
3.6.6EmergencyAlarm
TheEmergencyAlarmisaspecialstatusmessagesenttotheinfrastructureonenteringtheEmergencyMode.The
radiomaywaitforinfrastructureacknowledgmentforthisalarmandattemptretries.
EachtimetheradioenterstheEmergencyMode,itsendsanEmergencyAlarm.WhenanEmergencyAlarmissent
successfully,yourradioplaysEmergencyAlarmSenttone.DuetoabsenceofthedeliveryconrmationinDMO
Mode,AlarmSentinformationconrmsonlysendingthealarm.
Inaddition,oncetheradioisintheEmergencyModeonpressingtheEMERGENCYbutton,anadditional
EmergencyAlarmissent.ThemessagecanbedispatchedbothinTMOandDMOModes.
