Fitting/Removing Universal Connector Cover
When the radio is delivered from the factory
the universal connector cover (16) is fitted. To
remove the cover, press the top away from
the radio as indicated in the illustration and
turn the cover to release the ring around the
antenna. Lift the cover away over the antenna.
Radio ON/OFF and Volume Control
Turn the radio on by turning the on/off button
(1) clockwise. The radio then carries out a
self-test.
Adjust the volume to a comfortable listening
level by turning the on/off button (1).
Turn the radio off by turning the on/off button
(1) anti-clockwise.

and displays an error message, please
contact the person in charge of your
radio system or your local service repre-
sentative.
RADIO MODEL WITHOUT KEYPAD
(MTS 2000 I)
Use the three-position toggle switch (6) and
the mode selector (3) to select the desired
mode or talkgroup. When the desired mode/
talkgroup is in the display, press the PTT to
talk, release it to listen.
