DO NOT hold the transmit (PTT) key in
when not actually desiring to transmit.
DO NOT allow children to play with any
radio equipment containing a transmit-
ter.
DO NOT operate the radio near un-
shielded electrical blasting caps.
DO NOT operate the radio in an explo-
sive atmosphere, unless the radio is
approved for such use.
DO NOT dispose of the battery on a fire
as it may explode.
DO periodically inspect the radio and
battery contacts and when the radio has
been used in harsh environmental condi-
tions, e.g. presence of salt spray, ensure
that both the radio and battery contacts
are thoroughly cleaned and dried.

ote: The operation of the CENELEC radio
differs in the following ways:
If the squelch is open and the radio is
receiving, the red LED will not flash
when the system/channel is busy.
The display is backlit only in stand-by.
