Entering Local Site Trunking
When your radio receives a Local Site Trunking indication from the system, the following occurs:
• Your radio sounds an Entering Local Site Trunking tone.
•
Display shows the Local Area Service message.
NOTE: Noticeable only on the color display.
• Any call in progress is dropped upon entering Local Site Trunking Mode.
If configured by your service provider, this message/alert is periodically repeated to remind you that
your radio is still operating in Local Site Trunking Mode. The following features are available:
• Registration
•
Attachment
• Group Call
• Emergency Operations
NOTE: Your service provider can turn on/off all visual and audio indications, when you enter
Local Site Trunking Mode.
3.2.2
Exiting Local Site Trunking
When the link with the central network controller is reestablished, your radio exits Local Site Trunking,
and the following occurs:
•
Your radio plays an Exiting Local Site Trunking
tone.
• Any call in progress during Local Site Trunking is dropped.
• Display icons and soft keys turn blue.
NOTE: Your service provider can turn on/off all the visual and audio indications, when you exit
Local Site Trunking Mode.
