3.2.1. Back Carrying Method 1
▪ The compressed air breathing apparatus in
as-delivered state as per Fig. 1.
▪ Cylinder vertical, pressure reducer on the right side of
the carrying plate.
▪ Shoulder straps left and right.
▪ Hoses on the right hand side.
This carrying method is recommended for
large diameter cylinders.
3.2.2. Back Carrying Method 2
▪ Cylinder vertical, pressure reducer in the middle
towards the top of the carrying plate.
▪ Shoulder straps left and right.
▪ Hoses on the left hand side.
This carrying method is recommended for
large diameter cylinders.
3.2.3. Back Carrying Method 3
▪ Cylinder diagonal.
▪ Pressure reducer on the left side of the carrying plate.
▪ Without shoulder straps.
3.2.4. Hip or Back Carrying Method
▪ Cylinder cross-wise on the hip (horizontal).
▪ Pressure reducer on the left side of the carrying plate
downwards.
▪ Without shoulder straps.
