8.14.1 Engine oil filter – Replacement
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

WARNING
Oil is hot.
Oil can contain residue/substances which are harmful to health.
Risk of injury and poisoning!
• Allow the product to cool to below 50 °C before beginning work.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves and goggles/safety mask.
• Avoid contact with skin.
• Do not inhale oil vapor.
Engine oil filter – Replacement
1. Use filter wrench to remove engine oil filter.
2. Clean sealing surface on connecting piece.
Note: Use only oil filters with integrated safety
valve.
3. Check condition of new oil filter sealing ring
and coat it with engine oil.
4. Screw on and tighten new engine oil filter by
hand.
5. Replace other engine oil filters in the same
way.
6. Check engine oil level (→ Page 108).
7. After oil change and oil filter replacement,
crank engine with starting system
(→ Page 76).
