ThedesiccantdehumidiersintheIceDryserieshavebeendevelopedtoeffectivelydehumidifytheairin
coldstoresinordertominimisefrostandicebuild-up
Thedehumidierisequippedwithanencapsulatedrotorunit.Therotorcasingisconstructedofdurable
thermosetplasticandcontainsisolatedsectionsthatprovideaprecisebalanceforthedehumidication,
reactivationandheatrecoveryairows.
TheelectricalcontrolsystemcomplieswiththeEN60204(IEC60204)standards.Foroperating
temperature,seesection8.2,Technicaldata.
ThedehumidierismanufacturedinaccordancewithuniformEuropeanstandardsandestablished
requirementsforCE-marking.

Thedesiccantrotorismadeofacompositematerialthatishighlyeffectiveinattractingandretainingwater
vapour.Therotorisdividedintwozones.Theairowtobedehumidied,processair,passesthrough
therotor'slargestzoneandthenleavestherotorasdryair.Sincetherotorrotatesslowly,theincomingair
alwaysmeetsadryzoneontherotor,thuscreatingacontinuousdehumidicationprocess.
Theairowthatisusedtodrytherotor,reactivationair,isheated.Thereactivationairpassesthrough
therotorintheoppositedirectiontotheprocessairandleavestherotoraswetair(warm,moistair).This
principleenablesthedehumidiertoworkeffectively,evenatfreezingtemperatures.
