Call Forwarding Off Premise
Off Premise Call Forwarding Can Corrupt System Database
Software version 02.10.13/02.11.00 corrects a problem in versions 02.10.09 and 02.10.12 in which
forwarding a trunk off premise could corrupt the system database. The problem was most promi-
nent on trunk 4 with DS2000 but could occur on other trunks in both systems as well. In DS2000,
once the system database became corrupt all extensions assigned to the DSTU PCB in slot CN1
would stop functioning. To solve the problem:
● From any keyset not assigned to the DSTU PCB in slot CN1, you had to use 9999-System
Initialization to initialize the system.
● If all keysets were assigned to the DSTU PCB in slot CN1, you had to shut the system down,
remove the CPU battery, and then restart the system with the battery removed to restore the
default database.
Hotline
Hotline Inadvertantly Transfers Trunk
If an extension user seizes a trunk (without dialing) and then presses a Hotline key, the system will
disconnect the trunk call and place a Hotline call to the assigned partner extension. If the user dials
at least one digit on the trunk (or waits the interdigit interval), the system transfers the call to the
Hotline partner. In software versions prior to 02.10.13/02.11.00, the system could Transfer the call
to the Hotline partner even when no digits had been dialed.
