5-12 Connecting Peripheral Devices
Securing the Cables
5. Connect the power cable to the optional device.
6. Reconnect any options that you disconnected. Turn on
the device and the docking station.
External SCSI Devices
Attach external SCSI devices as follows:
1. Check that the SCSI device is set up properly. See the
documentation that came with the device to verify switch
and jumper settings.
2. Turn off and unplug the docking station and any external
devices connected to it.
3. Locate the external SCSI connector on the back of the
docking station.
4. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the SCSI cable connector
and attach the SCSI cable to the back of the docking
station.
5. Connect the other end of the cable to the device.
