4.2.1 Connection of the Input Voltage
Before the Nelweld N800i welding unit is connected to the supply voltage the
following connecting criteria must be observed.
The CEE plug of the mains cable may only be connected to appropriately designed
mains socket outlets
Only tested mains socket outlets with a tested protective conductor function may be
used.
In order to electrically protect the welding system against short circuits a 32A back
per phase with slow response characteristics is required.
Once these criteria have been met, the switched‐off welding unit can be connected to
the supply voltage with due regard to the safety advice.
Warning!
Connection to the mains may only be carried out by an electrical
specialist!
Before connecting ensure that the protective conductor function of the
socket outlet is give!
The Nelweld N800i may only be operated with a mains voltage of 400VAC/50/60Hz.
The mains connection values are marked on the type plate.
