6.3.7 Weld Parameters and Settings
Note!
Weld parameters and settings below are developed using Nelson
equipment and Nelson studs. It is recommended to use fasteners
from one manufacturer (Nelson studs) to ensure weld consistency
and compatibility.
In order to make sure the reproducibility of welds only studs from
one batch may be used. Studs from different batches may not be
mixed.

The duty cycle limits for the Nelweld N800i can be seen in the Stud Weld Rate
table below. If the duty cycle is exceeded, and a weld is att
empted, a “Wait” prompt
will be displayed until the unit has thermally
recovered. A failsafe thermal sensor will
protect the unit and display E011. The unit will resume operation once the
temperature has retur ned to safe operating range.
