5. Select Settings > Advanced > LAN.
The diagnostics feature on the LAN page is intended for NETGEAR technical support
only. By default, the Enable Diagnostics Off radio button is selected.

6. In the IP address field, enter a new IP address.
The default IP address is 192.168.5.1.
The Submit button displays after you change the IP address.
7. In the Netmask field, enter a new network mask.
The default network mask is 255.255.255.0.
8. Click the Submit button.
Your settings are saved and the modem restarts. A device that is connected to the modem is disconnected
when the modem restarts.You can reconnect the device to the modem using the new IP address of the
modem.
