keybeforeservicing.Alwaysworkinawell-ventilatedarea.Cleanupspilledfuelimmediately.
Failuretocomplycouldresultinminorormoderateinjury.

1.Usingasuitabletoolsuchaspinchoffpliersclosethe
fuelline(1)beforethefuelpre-lter(2).
NOTE:Thereisnofuelshutoffvalveatthefueltank.Fuel
willdrainfromthefueltankifthefuellineisnotclosedoff
beforeremovingthepre-lter.
2.Placeasuitablecontainerbelowthepre-lter.
3.Loosenthetwohoseclamps(3).
4.Removethetwofuelhoses(4)fromthepre-ler.
5.Removethepre-lterbypullingupward.

6.Installanewpre-lter.
7.Connectthetwofuelhoses.
8.Tightenthetwohoseclamps.
9.Removethepinch-offpliers.
10.Bleedthefuelinjectionsystemasdescribedin7-39.
