Warning
Do not install butterfly valve in the suction pipe of SCF and ESF series fire pump. Butterfly
valve will cause turbulence damage to the pump. The pump suction pipe should be
installed with open stem Gate Valve (OS&Y Gate Valve). See “figure A.3.3.1.8”
