1. In the factory, the coaxiality of the pump and motor has been precisely adjusted, but the
coaxiality of the preset is usually changed during transportation. Check the degree of
horizontal, vertical, and angular coaxiality of the coupling with a ruler and a gauge or
dial gauge.
2. When the runout value measured in any direction with a dial indicator (or the horizontal
and vertical distance between two coupling flanges measured with a ruler) does not
exceed 0.13mm, the coupling alignment is good.
3. The specific installation requirements of the manufacturer shall prevail.
